N.B. Differ is the "Dutch Institute For Fundamental Energy Resarch" and has moved from Nieuwegein to the TUe Campus in Eindhoven. The Differ Workshop was in honour of this move to the green-new building on the Campus.
Differ has two research spearheads: first, research for nuclear fusion in particular with contributions to the international ITER project, and second, research for Solar Fuels in particular by applying plasma technology.
The latter can lead to CO2-neutral and low-cost production of methane and more complex fuels. The fascinating and informative workshop was particularly devoted to this second research field of Differ .
