TU Wageningen student Jasper Quaak chosen as commissioner events of KIVI Students

Hello, my name is Jasper Quaak and I am excited to be the Commissioner Events in the KIVI Students board. This year will be my third year studying biology at Wageningen University and Research, with a specialization in cell biology and molecular interactions. The choice to study biology comes from the practical lab work within the study as well as my wide interest in natural sciences like biotechnology, genetics and ecology. Since I started my bachelor Biology at WUR, I discovered my love for plant engineering.

One of my personal goals to achieve within the KS board is to stimulate entrepreneurship in engineering students. Most technical students don’t realize how capable a team of engineering students already is to create a solid entrepreneurship. My aim is to organize events where engineering students work together to create a business model with the goal of solving a societal or environmental problem to encourage student to become entrepreneurs themselves.

As commissioner events, I will plan and organize interesting events with the goal of connecting and supporting students from all technical universities and universities of applied sciences throughout the Netherlands.
