KIVI is the professional association for engineers in the Netherlands
KIVI, the Royal Institute of Engineers, is there for all engineers (ir./ing.) in the Netherlands. We represent the interests of highly skilled technical people and offer our members a place to meet, get inspired, exchange knowledge and develop personally. We are proud to represent engineers, the driving forces behind technological progress, essential for shaping our future.
Organisation
Many KIVI members are active with the association in a board position and there is a professional organisation supporting the main board. A clear structure and governance ensures optimal functioning of the association and optimal facilitation of our engineers in their career development.

KIVI provides an inspiring environment for engineers. At the heart of what we share as a diverse profession is our fascination with engineering sciences and our belief that through engineering we make a better world. Core business
KIVI's core activities focus on empowering engineers, facilitating knowledge exchange and supporting professional growth. We organise networking events, provide a platform for knowledge sharing, and encourage the development of engineering talent through training and coaching programmes.
History
Founded in 1847 under the patronage of the Prince of Orange, KIVI soon received the designation 'Royal' from William II. In over 175 years, KIVI grew into a leading professional association with many initiatives, including the launch of trade journal De Ingenieur. HRH Princess Beatrix is the current Patroness.

Member book
KIVI's membership book contains all members of the association. As a KIVI member, you can look up and contact members.
You can only visit the member book as a logged in member.
Vacancies
At the Royal Institute of Engineers, we are regularly looking for staff for our branch headquarters.
Hall rental
KIVI's beautiful monumental building offers seventeen rooms, each with its own unique atmosphere. These rooms can accommodate groups of 2 to 100 people, in various configurations, and form an inspiring environment for training courses, conferences, workshops, lectures, receptions, drinks or meetings.

KIVI cannot exist without the involvement of members and the support of donors. With your contribution, you help us strengthen the voice of engineers in the Netherlands and abroad.
