Omschrijving

After the Dutchman Cornelis Drebbel designed and built the first human powered submarine, all aspects of underwater vehicle performance has had the keen interest of the Royal Netherlands Navy. Propulsion, starting with human powering, has seen electrical, nuclear and other air independent power solutions. Back to human powering, the WASUB team from Delft has returned first place with a resounding world speed record. This project, addressing hydrodynamic, mechanical and athletic challenges, will be presented.
