Together with Piet Sinke, known for his daily news clippings, KIVI OT organizes a virtual news quiz on June 18!

Piet Sinke has been sending out the “Daily Collection of Maritime Press Clippings” for 22 years (and counting). He started for a small group of friends and associates and has since built up to 42,750 subscriptions. Because the maritime sector forms a basis for offshore projects and the logistics around production of oil and gas, the news Piet sends out is relevant for people in the maritime, offshore and oil and gas industry.

During this activity you’ll learn more about Piet Sinke and how his experiences as a captain lead to sending a daily news-overview. On top of that, a number of high- and lowlights from the 2020 news so far will be discussed and via a quiz you can test how up-to-date you are on these different events.

Joining the online news quiz
We are hoping to meet you virtually at this activity on the 18th of June 16.30h NL time. Please use the red button on the top right page to register. At Wednesday evening (17-JUNE-2020) we will e-mail you the meeting link, which can be opened via Microsoft Teams or webbrowsers Microsoft Edge/Google Chrome. You can log-on from 16.15h. Make sure you have a drink and potentially some snacks at hand, so you’re comfortable until 18h, when the activity ends.

 

Practical considerations

Please consider the following in preparation of the meeting:

  • The quiz will be presented via a MS teams meeting
  • To be able to join, please make sure you have either Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome installed, or Microsoft Teams
  • Quiz answers will be submitted via menti.com, you’ll get the access code (and further access instructions if needed) during the quiz-night
  • Questions can be posed in the chat window during the lecture, a moderator will select questions for the presenter
  • You are kindly requested to mute your microphone during the event
