Technostarters
Omschrijving
Four technostarters with a link to the offshore industry will tell about the process of setting up an own business and what setbacks were encountered, while trying to climb the Olympus of ultimate glory. The companies are engineering company Enersea, Delft Inversion starting up in exploration geophysics, Archimedes Solutions aiming at developing sustainable solutions, and consultancy firm SeaOwls. The lectures will be interrupted by a meal offered by IRO, the major offshore business representant for its 440 member companies towards the government and prospective customers. The evening will be concluded by a panel formed by the representant companies where lessons will be shared and questions can be posed to the various companies.
Guided tour through Innovation Dock
The centerpiece of RDM Campus Rotterdam is the former machine hall Innovation Dock, a monumental industrial hall. There is more than 11,500m² available for small-scale and innovative technology companies that are active in the markets construction, mobility, product design, maritime and maintenance.
Between 17.00 and 18.00 hrs the participants are offered a guided tour through the Innovation Dock, ending at the Ampelmann’s workshop. IRO member Ampelmann will give a short talk on the start-up of the company.
