Workshop imec 1  Kapeldreef 75, 3001 Leuven

Dear all,

We warmly welcome you to attend our 5th and last Wireless Community workshop of this year about

The road towards the internet of batteryless things

on Tuesday 3 December, 12h-19h at imec – Leuven.

   | Topic of the workshop |

In this workshop we will address recent technology innovations for the road towards a wireless network of batteryless IoT devices. These devices store energy in small capacitors, continuously replenishing their energy using sustainable energy harvesting. Batteryless IoT devices will be environmentally friendly, live longer, and come with reduced maintenance cost since replacing and disposing of batteries can be avoided.

The workshop includes presentations and (live) demos, and is accessible to all enthusiasts in wireless technology. Topics include a.o.

  • (hybrid) energy harvesting
  • wireless power transfer
  • energy-efficient wireless networking
  • energy-aware computing
  • applications
