Beeld Engineers Europe

KIVI is a member of ENGINEERS EUROPE

ENGINEERS EUROPE is a federation of professional engineers that unites the national engineering associations from 33 European countries, bringing together more than 350 national engineering associations, all of which are recognised in their countries as the representatives of the engineering profession at national level. The federation maintains a database of engineering educations, awards a certificate for professional development and more.

ENGINEERS EUROPE represents the interests of approximately 6 million professional engineers in Europe. The organization stands for the professional identity of these engineers and strives for a single voice for the engineering profession in Europe, while acknowledging its diversity.

European Engineering Education Database

ENGINEERS EUROPE publishes a European Engineering Education Database (EEED) listing over 14,000 university courses approved as meeting the education component for EUR ING registration. KIVI submitted all NVAO-accredited engineering education programmes of the Netherlands to the EEED (previously the FEANI INDEX). The inclusion of the Dutch programmes promotes their acceptance by regulators and employers across Europe.

EUR ING certificate

The EUR ING certificate delivered by ENGINEERS EUROPE is designed as a guarantee of competence for professional engineers. KIVI members who are established or educated in the Netherlands, can apply for EUR ING registration via this website.

Micro-credential courses

The Engineers4Europe (E4E) Erasmus+ Project aims to better equip engineers for the future by offering free courses in entrepreneurial, digital, green and life skills, designed in cooperation with leading universities and institutions (KU Leuven, UPorto, TU Dublin, Newport Group).

Project objective

With the new requirements of the EUR ING 2.0, these courses will also have validity in terms of CPD, which EUR ING holders will need to provide evidence of as from 2028 onwards if they wish to see their EUR ING renewed.

At the end of each course, participants are also invited to complete the Feedback Form. This will contribute in ensuring that these courses are continuously improved.

International working groups

ENGINEERS EUROPE establishes and maintains working groups on some of the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations (SDG's). The intention of these working groups is to develop recommendations on behalf of our community of engineers to the European Commission and other European authorities.
