Following the annual meeting of the Commercial Engineering Section of KIVI NIRIA, we have found ir Gert-Jan Kramer, entrepreneur, former CEO and sitting supervisory director of Fugro, willing to tell his story. How did a local engineering company FUnderingstechniek en GROndmechanica (founded 1962) develop into today's listed global player. With revenues of €1.4bn in 2008, 14,000 employees and branches in more than 60 countries. How did the successes come about. But also what were the setbacks and what are general lessons that apply to every company or entrepreneur
