Meet Kiki & Vince
Two engineers, one mission and a friendly rivalry you don’t want to miss!

Find out how Kiki and Vince can turn you into a KIVI engineer too
Kiki and Vince are KIVI’s new digital faces. The two friends are engineers through and through, each with their own perspective on the world.
From now on, you will be seeing Kiki and Vince more and more often on our website, social media and merchandise. But they do more than just put a face to KIVI. They take you on a journey of discovery through the world of KIVI, meeting more and more engineers along the way. We will introduce these new friends to you, too.
Wherever you come across them, Kiki and Vince show that there is no single way to be an engineer. It is the diversity of perspectives and talents that makes engineering stronger.
Kiki's passport
ir. Kiki is just as comfortable working at the drawing board as she is on a building site. She’s a university graduate, but feels just as at home amongst the people doing the hard work. With a sketchbook under her arm and a head full of ideas, she always manages to come up with a new, sustainable solution.
She loves to show that engineering starts with curiosity and that the best solutions come from thinking ahead. And secretly, she also hopes to convince you that the university route is the most enjoyable one.

Vince's Passport
ing. Vince feels completely at home on a building site or in the workshop. He graduated from a university of applied sciences and learnt the trade mainly through hands-on experience. For him, it’s important that things actually work in practice and that technical solutions are made understandable to everyone.
His mission? To show just how versatile and interesting engineering is. That’s why he remains curious, asks questions and doesn’t give up until he fully understands exactly how something works. According to Vince, you don’t learn engineering just from books, but above all by getting stuck in yourself.

A friendly match
Vince and Kiki share the same passion for engineering, but have each followed their own path: Vince through a university of applied sciences (BEng), Kiki through a technical university (MEng). So which of the two is the ‘better’ engineer? They’ve been at odds over this for years, and that’s fine, because at KIVI every engineer is welcome, regardless of the path you’ve chosen.
Vince reckons you can only learn about engineering by getting your hands dirty.
Kiki thinks Vince ought to read a manual first.

Meet the engineer friends
Kiki and Vince are meeting more and more fellow engineers through KIVI. Along the way, they met Sophia, Marc, Inge and David. Each has their own personality and perspective on engineering, but they all share the same curiosity. They enjoy exchanging ideas, discussing their work and learning from one another’s experiences.

ir. Inge (CEng)
Inge loves turning ideas into reality. As a Chartered Engineer and a member of KIVI Bouw, she knows how important technical expertise, collaboration and smart solutions are when shaping our built environment. She takes a practical approach to engineering challenges and enjoys discovering how engineers can work together to build a better world.

ing. David (IEng)
David likes to look beyond borders. As an Incorporated Engineer and a member of International KIVI Engineers (IKE), he knows that engineering connects people and countries. He is interested in international developments and the different ways engineers around the world work together to solve shared challenges.

dr. ing. Sophia
Sophia is curious, engaged and believes in the power of different perspectives. As a member of the Network of Women Engineers, she connects with women who each contribute to engineering in their own way. She shows how valuable it is to share experiences, support one another and discover new ideas together.

ir. Mark
Marc is full of ideas and always looking ahead. As a member of YKE (Young KIVI Engineers), he meets young engineers who want to make a difference through their knowledge and enthusiasm. He is always keen to explore new developments and show what can be achieved when ideas are put into action.
Are you Team Kiki or Team Vince?
Choose a side in the battle! Are you more of a practical type like Vince, or do you prefer to get everyone on board like Kiki? Take the test and find out which engineer suits you best.
Kiki: “Good design prevents problems.”
Vince: “A good solution actually emerges during the building process.”
