Inspiring the potential impact of a fair: Meriç Kessaf's journey

Meriç Kessaf, former scholarship recipient, is working with her Architectural Recovery Team to rebuild earthquake zones in Turkey and make robust, earthquake-resistant housing available. Three team members, including Meriç, visited Hatay in early November 2023, with financial support from KIVI. This field trip was crucial for the development of the project.

Assessment criteria

The Study and Travel Foundation believes it is important that you become the best engineer you can be. In doing so, we think it is important that you give back to others the knowledge you have gained. Sounds great right? Here's how you stand a chance of winning the scholarship:

You are a full-time student.
You are a KIVI member.
You know how to improve KIVI.
You plan to use the scholarship to develop your engineering skills.
You use the scholarship for yourself or together with a small (project) group.
You have not received this scholarship before (not even as part of a small (project) group).
You will turn the knowledge you have gained into a strengthening of your studies and career.
You want to inspire others with your story and share the knowledge you have gained with them.
Thanks to the knowledge you have gained, you can make society a little nicer.
You can explain how this knowledge can help other people.

Foundation Study and Travel Fund is there for KIVI student members to gain experiences for a career in engineering with a flying start.

Do you dream of doing an internship or graduating abroad? Or do you have a wonderful study trip in mind but lack the resources (yet) to actually go on it. Then Foundation Study and Travel Fund can help you.

Organisation

The organisation of the Study and Travel Fund Foundation consists of a board and a jury. The board is responsible for the foundation's strategy, while the jury members take care of day-to-day tasks. Allocating the scholarship first passes through the jury, which draws up a recommendation based on the applications and hands it to the board.
