The excursion was preceded by the annual General Members' Meeting. Here, the renewed board presented itself to the members and the retiring board members were warmly thanked for the many years in which they were active for Kivi as board members.
After an introduction by Cor Goelema, Programme Manager Strategy & Sustainability Remko de Lange talked about what has been achieved so far by Vanderlande in the field of sustainability and the challenges it faces.

Sustainability starts at component level, where Mr De Lange addressed, among other things, the design of energy-efficient components and opportunities for recycling, to system level. The latter involves integral design. Here, the end goal is to contribute to a circular economy. Much has already been achieved, noting that sustainability can lead to significant cost savings, supporting the transition process.

Next, Vanderlande provided a comprehensive tour of the design and test plant. The beauty of this factory, which we visit with some regularity, is that you can almost touch the technology. It is very high-quality technology with high utility value, both for manufacturers and consumers.

This was a successful excursion, which clearly resonated with the participants. The lecture ended with a sumptuous drink.

Description

In his presentation, Remko de Lange will focus on the growth path that Vanderlande has taken in recent years and the coming years in the field of sustainability; from energy-efficient components to integral designs for a circular economy. Vanderlande can be considered a trendsetter in its industry, also in the field of sustainability.
