CEO lecture by Martin van Pernis
Over 70 interested people attended the first lecture of the CEO series on 4 October. KIVI NIRIA Students Twente had found rector magnificus Ed Brinksma willing to act as chairman for the occasion.
After 40 years of service at Siemens, Martin van Pernis retired last year. Where many thought the baker's son would enjoy a quiet old age, he currently holds many supervisory directorships including the presidency of the Royal Institute of Engineers KIVI NIRIA. Van Pernis managed to captivate the audience with a divergent story about his personal career.
The afternoon ended with a convivial drink, where enthusiastic discussion continued.
The next CEO lecture will take place on Tuesday 29 November. Gerben Edelijn (CEO Thales) will tell his story then.
