To celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), they are hosting a Pitch200 competition. The Pitch200 is a competition to find the person who can best demonstrate a civil engineering related concept or project in 200 seconds. Each contestant will have 200 seconds to explain their chosen idea, using whatever props or methods they choose. After each pitch, the entrant will be asked questions by the judging panel and audience.

The prize for the winner of The Netherlands will represent the region in the Pitch200 finals at ICE Headquarters London in November 2018. You will be flew in if you make it to the finals.

You apply by sending your pitch idea by e-mail [link: ice.pitch200.nl@gmail.com]. This application can be a short video, a sketch or in words (max 1 page of A4). The closing date for entries is Tuesday, September 18, 2018. Applicants are encouraged to make their entries as creative as possible; you can use anything at your disposal to explain your chosen idea – the use of props is highly encouraged. The 200 second pitch will be judged based on how entertaining, professional, interesting and clear they are in explaining the idea.

The applicants will be invited for the Dutch Final on September 25 at the TU Delft. The winner of this Final will represent the Netherlands at ICE Headquarters in November 2018. For those who are interested in the presentations but don’t want to participate in the competition, you are more than welcome to join our event as visitor.
