How to install the next generation of 3XL monopiles from a vessel? That was the question from our Japanese client in 2023. Ulstein proposed an innovative method, the U-Stern, to do this safe, smart and competitive. Huisman was contracted for the mission equipment. Together we developed the first fully integrated solution, now under construction in Singapore. The presentation will cover how naval architecture, marine systems, and mission equipment work together.
