Applied Thermodynamics for Sustainable Chemical Engineering Course organized by NPT and ISPT
Available for: EngD and PhD students, Postdocs & industrial engineers
COURSE CONTENT :
A sound knowledge and intuitive understanding of applied thermodynamics is vital for the debottlenecking, optimization, design and development of sustainable chemical products and processes in this era of energy transition and materials transition.
The main topics of this course include:
- Physical properties & phase behavior of pure components and mixtures.
- Methods and models typically employed in process simulations
- VLE, SLE and LLE.
- Visualization of phase behavior.
- Ideal and non-ideal behavior, and their consequences on process design.
- Data and regression to obtain parameters, especially the binary interaction parameters (BIP).
- Estimation methods for pure component properties and mixtures
