
It is with great pleasure that the NPT Board welcomes Tim den Hartog as a Board member.
Tim den Hartog studied chemistry at the University of Amsterdam.
In 2010, he obtained his PhD at the University of Groningen under the guidance of Professor Feringa (the later Nobel laureate) and Professor Minnaard. After post-doctoral stays at ETH Zürich (Professor P. Chen's group) and RWTH Aachen (Professor W. Leitner's group) he joined Hogeschool Zuyd in 2016. At Zuyd, he is a principal lecturer and senior researcher for “innovative process industry.”
He is one of the leading researchers in the “Sustainable Chemistry” research and education line with a focus on flow process technology, with a further focus on photochemistry, automation/machine learning and upscaling.
He holds secondments at TNO as a senior scientist for “energy conversion and storage” and as a guest researcher at the University of Amsterdam (Professor Noël's group).
