This is now the fifth year Workload Management has been given by Margot Dijker. There were 16 people present who wanted to know more about how to manage their workload. After a brief introduction by Margot, a tour was made of the attendees to see how they currently experience their workload and how they think they are managing it. Workload management is a combination between effectiveness (am I doing the right things) and efficiency (am I doing the things I need to do in the right way). The link between effectiveness and efficiency is shown in the Eisenhower diagram. After a brief explanation, attendees got to work with the diagram in two groups: how to process emails and answer questions using the Eisenhower diagram. This produced very lively discussions, where the pain point for most participants seemed to be saying 'no'. After Margot had further explained how attendees can use the Eisenhower diagram in their daily lives (prioritising tasks), we continued by dealing with some pictures of workplaces.

All in all, another successful activity, which was rewarded with an 8.5 for price/quality!

Description

Workload management is all about addressing your workload yourself. Why do you experience workload and your colleague, with the same work, does not? How different is your way of working and couldn't it be better? Would you like to take control of your agenda (again)? How do you get through all those e-mails every day? Perhaps there won't be a new answer to these questions and you already knew what you should do. This workshop is precisely aimed at getting you to do it.

Quotes from previous participants
- "Pleasant atmosphere with space for personal topics"
- "Food for thought!"
- "Space for comments from fellow participants, that makes the workshop valuable"

17.00 Reception with soup and sandwiches (included in price)
18:00 Start of workshop
21:00 End of workshop

During the workshop we will discuss two main themes to manage your workload:
- How do I prioritise my tasks correctly?
- How do I deal with interruptions;
- When can I say 'No';
- How do I prioritise my e-mails.
- What system can I apply to work in an organised way?

You are invited to send a photo of your workplace - in preparation for the workshop. During the training, your photo will be discussed (anonymously) and, if necessary, you will receive tips to organise the workplace.

Afterwards, participants will receive the PowerPoint presentation of the workshop by e-mail.
