Usability knowledge session
Description
Everyone has to deal with user interfaces: on screens, tablets, mobile phones and vending machines, you often find them in the form of an interactive graphic.
Some user interfaces work more pleasantly than others. Unfortunately, a mistake is easily made if a user interface is not user-friendly. In the case of a coffee machine, a mistake is annoying, but in the case of a control room, a mistake can have very serious consequences. The importance of a user-friendly user interface is then even greater.
In this knowledge session, you will be taken on a voyage of discovery into the world of usability. Learn how people actually perceive, what usability is, how you can make a user interface user-friendly and how you can incorporate this in the development process.
"I am Marrieke van Geel, industrial designer and I work at HTDS. Over the past 12 years I have specialised in setting up control rooms and designing user interfaces, mostly for complex working environments such as control rooms, control rooms, operator stations or mobile workstations."
Are you working on developing user interfaces? Or are you curious about the usability of user interfaces in general? Then you are most welcome to attend the usability knowledge session
