Engineers’ Day

For those looking to push boundaries: Engineers’ Day
The world is changing rapidly and sometimes it seems like we are a few steps behind. But then there are always engineers coming up with smart and practical solutions to societal challenges. Whether it's better medical technology, sustainable energy or the application of AI, engineers keep working day in, day out for a better, more efficient and sustainable future.
Engineers’ Day is a day for and by engineers, to share knowledge and celebrate innovation. On this day, we underline the relevance of the profession and show how indispensable the work of an engineer is.
Engineers’ Day brings generations together, inspires and shows the crucial role engineering plays in our future.
For English, click hereEngineers’ Day consists of three parts:
- The KIVI Annual Conference, where topical issues are highlighted.
- The presentation of the Prince Friso Engineering Award, a tribute to the engineer who makes an exceptional contribution to society.
- The KIVI Engineering Student Team Award, where young engineers in training are given a stage to present their ideas for the world of tomorrow.
Although these components are separate, together they form a day full of inspiration and appreciation for the engineering profession. A day centred on innovation, collaboration and social impact - a true celebration of the power of engineers.
