Vacancy Community & Partnership Manager
The Royal Institute of Engineers (KIVI) is the professional association of and for engineers and thus the knowledge network that ensures support, visibility and quality of engineers in the Netherlands.
KIVI has almost 50 professional departments, with these departments we organise 300+ events and with our programmes we connect professionals, students and organisations. To further expand our relationships and increase our visibility, we are looking for an enterprising Business Development & Partnerships Manager.
In this sales role, you will be the point of contact for our partners, companies and educational institutions. You build lasting relationships and know how to translate opportunities into concrete partnerships. You combine commercial insight with the ability to build bridges within our engineering network.
You work independently a lot within your role, but are part of the marketing team (6) and report to the Marketing & Communications Manager and Director. Within the team, you will help think about campaigns, provide feedback from the field and ensure that your initiatives and collaborations are given optimal visibility through KIVI's (media) channels.
What will you do?
- Recruit and manage collective memberships.
- Maintain and build relationships with our specialist departments (KIVI volunteers).
- Maintain and strengthen existing memberships (member loyalty and member retention).
- Act as a network connector between members, partners and departments.
- Establish collaborations with other associations or organisations.
- Attend trade fairs and events in line with the industry to create visibility for KIVI and to network.
- In cooperation with the regional managers, act as contact person for colleges and technical universities.
- Building and maintaining the online community.
- Actively sell our media kit, advertising space and meeting rooms.
Your skill set
- A completed college or university degree, preferably in a commercial or marketing field.
- Experience with relationship management, networking and sales.
- Experience in organising various events is a plus.
- A proactive and connecting personality; you make contact easily at all levels.
- Affinity with technology and/or the engineering profession is a strong plus.
- Good command of the Dutch and English languages.
Conditions
Employment type:
- 32-hour fixed-term contract for one year. After the one-year contract, chance of indefinite contract.
- Salary: €3,200 - €4,200 (Depending on your knowledge and experience)
