This week, KIVI, the Royal Netherlands Society of Engineers, is participating in the International Engineering Alliance (IEA) Meetings in Mérida, Mexico. Our KIVI colleagues Navin Sewberath Misser, Sander Fiévez, and Andries Ritsema are actively engaging with international partners in support of its application for Authorized Membership under the International Professional Engineers Agreement (IPEA).
The IPEA plays a vital role in facilitating international recognition and mobility of professional engineers by setting shared standards for competence, ethics, and professional development. Becoming an Authorized Member under IPEA will allow KIVI to align the Netherlands’ Chartered Engineering Programme with these global benchmarks.
For KIVI this is a valuable opportunity to:
- Ensure that its Chartered Engineering Programme meets internationally recognized quality and governance standards;
- Promote the international mobility and recognition of Dutch engineers;
- Strengthen relationships with global engineering institutions;
- Exchange best practices on professional development and quality assurance.
By participating in these meetings, KIVI reinforces its commitment to supporting Dutch engineers in their professional growth, both at home and abroad, while contributing to the global engineering community.
