Explore the possibilities that only building something with your hands can give you. Enjoy a weekend to discover bamboo!
The construction of a bamboo dome will be the aim, the World Bamboo Day the occasion, and Hofbogen Rooftop terrace in Rotterdam the place, so don't miss this unique opportunity at one of the most iconic spaces of Rotterdam!
After an introductory lesson on safety tips by Engineers Without Borders and a lecture on building with bamboo from Bambú Social, on September 17th you will get hands at work to construct a bamboo dome in one day! Cut, drill, connect and learn about the bamboo design principles and about the potential of bamboo as a suitable, sustainable construction material for developing countries.
We'll be waiting for you to make this outstanding structure a reality!
