Autonomous cars and trucks are entering our highways in the coming years. The Dutch government wants to be on the forefront of autonomous driving. But what about ships? When will ships find their way across the oceans without humans on-board? During this lecture, Ørnulf Jan Rødseth will enlighten on the possibilities of increasing automation of nautical functions. Also, Dan Veen will present a short update on current research activities at TNO on autonomous driving and the possiblilities for shipping.
