ENabling SafE Multi-Brand Platooning for Europe, Overview of the project, Marika Hoedemaeker
Given the low number of physical registrations, it has been decided to conduct this activity entirely as a webinar!
Just a week before the final event of ENSEMBLE, KIVI Vehicle Technology already can give you inside information from the project coordinator Marika Hoedemaeker about this interesting project! You are welcome to join online.
The EU project ENSEMBLE (ENabling SafE Multi-Brand platooning for Europe) comes to an end on 31 March 2022 after 46 months of an intense research and piloting effort on multi-brand truck platooning by the leading European truck manufacturers, automotive suppliers and research organisations in Europe. The ENSEMBLE consortium, coordinated by TNO, implemented and demonstrated multi-brand truck platooning on Spanish roads.
The basis of this realization is the specifically developed V2V (Vehicle to Vehicle) communication protocol that supports the correct behavior and reaction of each of the trucks in the platoon for every envisioned traffic use case.
In this presentation Marika Hoedemaeker will summarize the goals and achievements of the project.
Marika Hoedemaeker is a senior project manager at TNO Traffic & Transport, where she has been conducting human factors research in mobility since 1999. After finishing her study in experimental psychology, she went to the Delft University of Technology to work as a PhD student on the introduction of Automated Vehicle Guidance systems in personal road transport.
At present her main activities are focused on managing complex research projects. At this moment she is the coordinator of the ENSEMBLE project.
