(NL) Op donderdag 5 juni was Young KIVI Geotechniek uitgenodigd om een kijkje te komen nemen in het projectkantoor van BAM voor een uiteenzetting van interessante geotechniek projecten in het centrum van Utrecht zoals het Lombokplein en het Nieuw Hoog Catherijne. Even later stapten we aan boord voor een rondvaart langs de kademuren en werfkelders met toelichting van de Gemeente Utrecht waar uitgebreid tijd was om brandende vragen te stellen over de uitgevoerde en toekomstige herstelwerkzaamheden. Een mix van inhoud en ontspanning, afgesloten met een gezellige netwerkborrel later op de dag.
Met alweer een goede opkomst kunnen we na ons derde geslaagde evenement binnen een jaar stellen dat Jong KIVI weer terug is van weggeweest sinds corona. Het was weer mooi om enthousiaste vakgenoten te mogen begroeten én nieuwe gezichten te verwelkomen! We kijken nu al uit naar het volgende evenement.

(ENG) On Thursday June 5th, Young KIVI Geotechnics was invited to the project office of BAM for presentations about interesting geotechnical projects in the center of Utrecht such as the Lombokplein and the Nieuw Hoog Catherijne. A little later we boarded the boat for a tour of the quay walls and wharf cellars with explanations from the Gemeente Utrecht, with ample time to ask burning questions about the repair work that has been carried out and is yet to come. A mix of intellectual deep dive and relaxation, concluded with a pleasant networking reception at the end of the day.
With another good turn-up at our third event of the year, we can officially state that Young KIVI is back in business. It was again great to welcome enthusiastic and ambitious peers as well as welcome some new faces! We are already looking forward to the next event.
