The Integration Journey.
On the 15th February 2016 Shell and BG moved forward together as a combined company. This milestone was the result of an intense phase of bid completion and integration planning that followed the friendly bid made by Shell for BG in April 2015. The merger was one of the largest transactions in the Oil and Gas industry this century and for Shell the largest since 1907 with the merger of Royal Dutch and Shell Transport and Trading.
The combination was a bold and compelling move that will shape the combined company for generations. BG and Shell had long shared a deep mutual respect for each other, and separately stood as successful and major players
The combination of the BG and Shell portfolios, skills set and capabilities are clearly setting our combined company apart as an innovation leader with world class portfolios in Integrated Gas and Deepwater.
The presentation will address the deal rational, the integration planning and integration journey.
