Dit is een tweedaags symposium, te houden op 28 en 29 oktober 2008.
Het thema is "Towards a world without oil".

NPS-8 is the 8th Annual Process Technology Symposium in the Netherlands with more than 300 participants from knowledge institutes and industry. This year, NPS addresses the urgent question of energy supply in the future. Besides ample attention to this pressing challenge, the symposium also gives a broad overview on the newest developments in the field of process technology.

The theme of the symposium “Towards a world without oil” addresses the challenge to supply sufficient energy to an ever growing population of the earth while maintaining a stable environment. Topics such as energy and fuels from renewable resources, process intensification, energy savings concepts in current processes, new catalytic and separation media will be addressed. National and international experts from industry and academia will give their views in plenary and keynote lectures.

The program starts on Monday 27 October with an intensive New Business Generation Game. This part of the program is optional and only a limited number of people can attend.

On Tuesday and Wednesday 28, 29 October the program continues with lectures (5 parallel sessions), workshops, poster sessions, evening program and a market for companies. Ample opportunity will be given to discuss and exchange new ideas and their applications.
