New Energies – New Challenges: Re-inventing the Offshore Industry
Registration is closed.
Offshore production of renewable energy is rapidly increasing with developments such as wind farms, ocean current turbines and floating solar farms. More advancements are to come with for example offshore hydrogen production. These developments make use of experience from the existing offshore industry, but also require innovations to overcome new challenges and ensure the new energy sources are cost competitive with other sources of energy.
In this symposium the current state of the offshore industry is sketched as well as the developments that are ongoing to produce new energies and challenges they bring. Technology to overcome these challenges is presented as well as examples of how offshore installation companies are adapting to meet the demand for new energies and climate goals.
