North Sea Energy
REGISTRATION IS NOT POSSIBLE ANYMORE!
The Blauwwind consortium – of which Shell is a partner – is developing the Borssele III/IV North Sea wind farms. The project includes 77 offshore wind turbines in the Dutch North Sea, with a total installed capacity of around 731.5 MW – enough to power 825,000 Dutch households.
Shell is also redeveloping the Penguins oil and gas field in the UK North Sea. The Penguins “Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO)” vessel is under construction in China and will take the place of the Brent Charlie platform. During the lecture the design and construction of these North Sea projects will be presented.
