Jeroen Dijsselbloem

Job title: Mayor of Eindhoven

Jeroen Dijsselbloem (1966) is mayor of his hometown Eindhoven. From that position, he chairs, among others, Stichting Brainport, Metropoolregio Eindhoven and Veiligheidsregio Brabant-Zuidoost.

Dijsselbloem was previously finance minister (2012-2017), president of the Eurogroup (2013-2018) and chairman of the Council of Governors of the European Stability Mechanism (ESM). He studied economics at Wageningen Agricultural University. After a career as, among others, policy advisor for the Dutch Labour Party's Lower House party and civil servant at the Ministry of LNV, he became a member of parliament in 2000.
