Joost Huigen
Joost Huigen is Business Developer for Circular Innovation at waste management company Milieu Service Nederland. In 2015, he obtained his Master of Science in Environmental, Water and Energy Management. After this, he started in a position as Business Developer at MAIN Energie an energy supplier, where he co-initiated offers for energy scans, energy scopes and energy meters.
In 2022, Huigen made the switch to the world of recycling and waste management. Since then, he has become an expert in the workings of the waste market and related national and international legislation. He also embraces artificial intelligence within this market and also internally in business operations. Huigen's most recent innovation is the MSG-Trolley, a cleaning trolley that weighs recyclable waste streams to optimise recycling.
