Criteria Engineering Student Team Award
2025
To win the prestigious KIVI Student Team Award, the following criteria and the following four competences will be assessed:
Team spirit:
- Encourages team cooperation by promoting open communication and mutual respect.
- Shows willingness to share knowledge and support others in their development, is open to feedback and suggestions from team members.
- Contributes to positive team dynamics by actively participating in joint activities and resolving conflicts constructively.
Innovativeness:
- Is constantly looking for new ideas, solutions and methods, is open to experimenting and taking calculated risks.
- Knows how to critically evaluate existing processes and systems and suggest creative, feasible improvements.
- Has contributed to the development of innovative products, services or processes that add value to the organisation or wider industry.
Social impact:
- Has broad vision, strategic insight, broad (internationally) focused social and economic knowledge.
- Contributes to a sustainable solution of a (social) problem.
- Visibly keeps the interests of all parties involved in mind. There is some impact.
Expertise:
- Has specialist knowledge in the field and can make connections with other fields.
- Has sharp analytical skills, can understand complex processes and make them transparent, can think conceptually and knows how to share this with others.
- Has contributed to the deployment and/or development of engineering sciences in a particular technical field.
Summary:
The team that best demonstrates these criteria is worthy of the title KIVI Engineering Student Team 2025.
NB: Teams that have received the award in previous years are excluded from participation.
