Program:
2.00 p.m. Opening
2.15 p.m. Aerospace Transformation
Dr. Susan Ying is the Senior Vice President of Global Partnerships and Operations at Ampaire, based in California, US. She is also the VP Aerospace serving on the Board of Directors of the SAE International, and is a Board member of the Lindbergh Foundation. Dr. Ying will deliver a presentation titled “Aerospace Transformation”.
Aerospace industry is going through a tectonic change — a transformation from one based on fossil fuel to one that will be powered by clean energy. With the emissions growth, and flights (and airports) at risk of being shut down due to environmental challenges, we must decarbonize aviation. The “next- gen” aircraft, whether from Airbus or Boeing, or new entrants of start-ups, MUST BE sustainable aircraft. This is a historic opportunity and a small window for taking actions before the point of no return.

Mr. James Middleton, Head of Business Development at Avy drone in The Netherlands will give a presentation titled “Technological developments with drones”. Avy pioneers innovative aircraft technology is fully autonomous, emission-free, and designed to seamlessly integrate into their customers' daily operations, all while harmonizing with nature. Established just five years ago, they have emerged as a key innovator in the aviation industry, securing numerous partnerships, awards, and investments. The pilots/technicians will be at het UoC for a demonstration of the drone, which will fly between Bonaire and Curaçao.
