Omschrijving

In a copolymerization plant with two production lines 11 Model Predictive Controllers and more than 50 inferentials were implemented. The last 5-10 years APC is more commonly implemented in polymer plants but not to this extend. The control includes temperature, concentration, production and quality control. The inferentials are used to improve analyzers and to provide quality parameters based on laboratory analyses.
After an introduction about the plant and the overall concept some parts and aspects of the implementation will be highlighted such as the temperature control, the use of inferentials and the non-linear control model.
