Prince Friso Engineering Award

Every year, the Royal Netherlands Society of Engineers (KIVI) awards the Prince Friso Engineering Award to an engineer who stands out for their expertise, innovation, social impact and entrepreneurship. On Wednesday 10 March 2027, the prize will be awarded for the twelfth time during Engineers’ Day. You can vote for the public’s choice award for the Prince Friso Engineering Award here.

The prize is named after the late Prince Friso, brother of King Willem-Alexander. He studied mechanical engineering and aerospace engineering and was a valued member of KIVI. The prize honours his legacy as an engineer and his commitment to KIVI.

During Engineers’ Day, the KIVI Engineering Student Team Award will also be presented to the student team that stands out the most. You can vote for the public’s choice award for the KIVI Engineering Student Team Award here!
