A private car industry for Ghana?
Description
The digitisation of car control systems is making DIY on cars almost impossible. Now the African market relies on mechanical discards from rich countries. These are running out, putting Africa's car fleet at risk. In response to this discharge, Melle Smets has taken the initiative to create an African car, the Turtle: Slow, simple and robust.
The questions in this development are how to make a functioning engine and steering box from discarded engine parts from various brands? Which brands fit together? These are the challenges Melle faces.
