Description

For a fully sustainable energy supply, nuclear power is unavoidable for the time being. Potentially, Thorium molten salt reactors can supply energy needs abundantly, affordably and safely for thousands of years.

Although the concept has been known for more than 50 years, much research is still needed. The lecture will discuss the technology as such, for example the advantages of thorium, and how molten salt technology differs from conventional light water reactors
