Royal Institute of Engineers (KIVI) on Curaçao
The Royal Institute of Engineers (KIVI) is a well-known institute in the Netherlands. KIVI has existed for over 175 years and has around 15,000 members.
In 2021, the KIVI Kring Caribbean in Aruba was established. This year, the KIVI Kring expanded to include a circle in Curaçao. Meetings allow engineers from Curaçao, Aruba, Sint Maarten and the BES islands to exchange knowledge and experience. Conferences, webinars and excursions will be organised on a regular basis.
The main goal of the KIVI Kring Caribbean Curaçao is to raise the standard of living on the aforementioned islands through sustainable technologies, while optimally protecting people, nature and the environment. It is important to note that the integrity of the engineer will be central to this. The KIVI Ethnic Code will be used for this purpose.
The Faculty of Technical Sciences of the University of Curaçao (UoC), in cooperation with KIVI Kring Caribbean Curaçao, is organising a first activity on Thursday 6 April 2023 from 19:30 to 20:30 in room Q1-05 of the UoC. On this evening, the board of the KIVI Kring Caribbean Curaçao will be introduced and more information about KIVI in general will be presented.
An activity list for 2023 will also be presented during this first meeting. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions and contribute new ideas to make KIVI Kring Caribbean Curaçao a great success. Everyone is welcome to attend this introductory evening!
