GIS is the technology that allows us to analyse spatial data (maps). Data is all around us and 80% of data contains a spatial component, such as an address or GPS location. GIS is able to integrate different data sources (maps, satellite images, drone images, CAD drawings, tables and databases) with each other to provide better insight.
In this presentation, Mr Eric Sussenbach, managing director of GIS4C will be happy to introduce you to GIS and show you its applications around the world and on our islands.
GIS is there for everyone; in business, governments, universities and NGOs, for the desk clerk to the chief executive or minister. GIS applications come in many fields of knowledge. Whether in Spatial Planning, Construction and Civil Engineering, Water and Energy, Public Works, Telecommunications, Environment, Nature Management, Science, Health or Retail. The applications are unprecedented and with this presentation I hope to give you a good introduction and pique your interest.
KIVI Circle Curacao invites all engineers and other interested parties to attend this presentation to gain more insight into GIS and its applications.
Afterwards, there will be a networking meeting, where you can enjoy a drink and a snack. An entrance fee will be charged to cover costs.
