Description

Sound is a special phenomenon, with rather different valuations. What sounds like music to some people's ears is noise to others. Whatever category you put it in, too high a sound level is harmful, be it opera or rock music. Hearing does not care about the emotional value we attach to sounds.
Starting from the functioning of hearing and the transmission of sounds through the atmosphere, through some exercises and, of course, using practical examples, Alara-Lukagro wants to inform about the phenomenon of sound. When does sound become noise, and what can be done about it?

Alara-Lukagro is a specialist in noise control. Its customers are mostly machine builders who want to reduce the noise of their machines to increase user comfort and comply with current laws and regulations. The company is based in Groot-Ammers in Alblasserwaard, one of the most beautiful and quietest regions in the Netherlands.
