The link between energy crisis and energy transition
[1] What is causing the current energy crisis? We are currently facing a canker of an energy crisis.
It will radically change the lives of many Dutch people: families below modal go from just making ends meet, to structurally short of money and cutting back on basic necessities, with no prospect of improvement. The oil crisis in 1973 and the debt crisis in 2010 are dwarfed by the damage caused by this crisis.
What is causing this crisis, and what lies ahead?
How will it affect our basic industry and the future of our economy and prosperity?
[2] The (un)feasibility of the energy transition How is the energy transition portrayed to us, how (un)feasible is it, and how will our energy supply evolve in reality for the rest of the century?
There is a bewildering difference between the generally accepted narrative about the energy transition, and how people with an understanding of energy view it. And this is true both of the many critical engineers who are individually involved in the debate, and of the all-important engineering firms.
Yet our politicians and the media only look at the alarmist narrative, without realising the absurd consequences of their decisions.
Time for the truth about the energy crisis and transition!
