Euro currency union as disaster for the Netherlands and Europe.

1. What will the euro cost us?

2. What is the euro doing to our purchasing power and to southern European economies?
3. How can the euro survive?

This is according to three in-depth studies by the Environment, Science & Policy Foundation, prepared in collaboration with leading economists.

The conclusions aren't sour:

- The euro is costing us tens of thousands of euros per family, while also reducing our purchasing power by more than 15%.

- Southern European countries are kept in a permanent crisis by the euro from which they cannot escape.

- In Brussels (EU) and in Frankfurt (ECB) they are throwing thousands of billions of created and borrowed money in panic to keep the moribund euro alive, but nobody knows how these sums will ever be paid back.

- The federal European state they insist on in Brussels will not be able to solve the problems of the current euro: there is only a future for a euro that brings back monetary flexibility.

The reports have not yet been published, so get a sneek preview!
The second report "Our lagging purchasing power and the euro" will be the first to appear on the foundation's website later this month: https://mwenb.nl/download/
Not long after, the first report on the cost of the euro and the EU will be released.
The third report on the future of the euro will be at least a few months away.

A highly recommended preparation for the evening is to read my short blog from 2014 on the core problem of the euro, which is still completely topical: https: //www.climategate.nl/2014/05/1-het-kernprobleem-van-de-europese-muntunie/
