The book The Frozen Climate Views of the IPCC has been produced with the collaboration of a dozen scientists and experts from the international Clintel network, including Canadian Ross McKitrick (known for his criticism of the hockey stick graph), Italian Nicola Scafetta (known for his work on the sun's influence on climate) and Fritz Vahrenholt (known in Germany for his book Die Kalte Sonne).
The book analyses two thick volumes of the latest IPCC report. In thirteen chapters, it indicates for each topic whether the IPCC did its job well.

The study shows that the IPCC made several serious mistakes. These mistakes always go in the same direction, making climate change 'worse'. Some of our findings are downright shocking because the IPCC acted so blatantly. In one case, the IPCC ignored virtually all the literature (on extreme weather damage) and leaned on one (also wrong) study that presented the apparently desired conclusion (i.e. a claimed increase in damage from CO2).

In this talk by Marcel Crok, a number of key research findings described in the book are discussed and explained.

Science journalist Marcel Crok is director of the Climate Intelligence Foundation (CLINTEL). This world-wide foundation is an independent foundation that reports objectively on climate change and climate policy and aims to be the voice of reason in the often overheated climate debate. CLINTEL's main objective is to generate knowledge and understanding of the extent, nature, causes and consequences of climate change and climate policies related to it. CLINTEL also aims to participate in debates on climate science and policy, as well as decision-making processes related to them.

Drinks will start at 18:00 and the meal will follow punctually at 19:00, after which the lecture can start at 20:00.
