The global port organisation IAPH (International Association of Ports and Harbors) launched a programme some time ago with the somewhat wide title ''World Ports Climate Initiative'' (WPCI). Fer van de Laar will explain some of the projects being developed under the WPCI: Carbon Foot Printing, Onshore Power Supply and the incentive programme for clean ships, the 'Environmental Ship Index (ESI)'
