Reuse of organic residues
Description
Our circle of mere engineers with very diverse disciplines meets every second Tuesday of the month at 18.00 in Het Bosrestaurant at Joppelaan 100 in Gorssel (Joppe). The evenings last until about 21:00 (if it is very sociable, it sometimes extends to 21:30)
During these meetings, a wide variety of often technical subjects are discussed in a good, friendly atmosphere. The meetings always involve a lot of interaction and discussion.
Besides the fact that you are informed about a wide range of topics and can join in the discussion, it is great fun to get to know each other.
The ambiance is carefully chosen. The dinner we have together is always of excellent quality. Moreover, there is ample opportunity for networking and friendly conversations.
On Tuesday 11 October), Frans Middag of S&M-Systems was prepared to give a talk entitled:
Reuse of organic residues.
Frans is active in the world of fermentation, energy and recovery of raw materials from residual flows.
The agricultural sector and related industries release many residual flows that still contain valuable raw materials. Moreover, the organic material is particularly suitable for extracting energy. For example, through fermentation. Or to be converted into new substances, such as bio-plastics (PHA). Frans will offer an insight into the possibilities for recycling organic residues about the obstacles that still need to be overcome.
The talk will be interactive; there will be plenty of opportunity for questions and discussion.
