Description

On 8 September 2015, KIVI Kring Stedendriehoek, in cooperation with the Aerospace Engineering Department, is organising a lecture on the technological development of an X-ray instrument for space travel.

Ir. Sander Kwast, working at SRON - Netherlands Institute for Space Research, will give a look at the technological development of an X-ray instrument to be launched in 2028.
Among other things, Sander will discuss various technical details, such as mirrors, detectors and instrument calibration.
SRON is developing various critical technologies for the most sensitive X-ray instrument to date. The SRON Product Assurance department is involved in the reliability and reproducibility of these developments

This lecture will be held in conjunction with a dinner.
