Making a career in the water sector
Description
What does the job market for Young Professionals in the water sector look like? What are the trends? What are the opportunities? How can you best present yourself to be spotted by an employer? Jaap Feil (director H2O-Job) and Huiberdien Sweeris (project manager Human Capital at NWP) explain in an interactive session.
The Dutch water sector has plenty of opportunities for growth, but this requires sufficient well-trained people. Until 2020, the water sector has 40,000 vacancies to fill, caused in part by an ageing population and outflow. That is why the water sector has developed the Human Capital Water & Delta programme, in which numerous activities take place to encourage young people and students to choose an education and career in the water sector. Among others, Wetskills, Top Sector Water Scholarships, the National Water Traineeship and YEP Water will be discussed in this interactive session.
You will also be given insights that will make it easier to put yourself in the spotlight of an employer. What should you do, or not do, to improve your online visibility?
