The Society "Practical Study" is the study association of the Faculty of Civil Engineering at TU Delft. Throughout the year, various activities are organised by and for the students. These activities range from excursions and lectures to the company days and the symposium. In honour of the 125th anniversary of our association, a symposium including dinner will be organised this year.

This year's symposium bears the title 'Civil Engineering in Conflict', a topic that focuses on the conflicting interests of neighbourhood, politics, developers and municipality. Difficult constructive tasks involving multiple stakeholders with different interests. How does the engineer satisfy all parties and when does something take priority? A civil symposium focusing on engineering, economics and ethics.
