Construction of the new N69 near Valkenswaard
The construction of the new N69 is part of the Grenscorridor N69 project. Grenscorridor N69 is an integral task that consists of a package of measures to solve the liveability and accessibility problems in the area that have existed for decades. For decades, the villages in the border corridor area have seen trucks drive right through their villages, have had to deal with cut-through traffic and congestion. There will now be a solution for regional and local traffic and the spatial quality of the area will be improved at the same time.
The project consists of the following components:
- A new N69 (Westparallel)
- Additional measures to prevent cut-through traffic (Nulplus measures)
- Improvements for nature, water, landscape, agriculture and recreation (Area Impulse)
The province of North Brabant as client and contractor Boskalis have agreed to host us and provide a lecture on the history and implementation of the construction of the new N69. The lecture will consist of two parts:
- The Province of North Brabant will explain the pre-history and how they arrived at an overall design
- Boskalis explains how they will implement it and the translation made to the elaborated design, opportunities, smarts, innovations, sustainability, planning, etc.
Around the presentations, there will be an opportunity to look around the information centre.
